Since Estero is located on the Estero River and Estero Bay, it’s an ideal area for paddle sports. The Great Calusa Blueway, a system of paddling trails inspired by the Calusa Indians, passes through Estero Bay. Come and Tee up on one of more than a dozen Estero GOLF courses.

The Koreshan State Historic Site is located on Corkscrew Road at U.S. 41 road about three miles west of I-75. It is open year-round and offers overnight camping at 60 sites that have water and electricity, fire rings, and picnic tables. The park has nature trails canoes for rent and free booklets for self-guided tours including one that locates the numerous non-native plants the Koreshans imported to create gardens.
